When I was a young boy, even before I started school, I was introduced to a band that changed my life forever. They were drastic in their approach both in appearance and style and nobody had ever done anything like it before.

You may already have guessed that I’m talking about KISS and the year was 1979. They made me want to become a super star, a regular guy playing his music and impacting millions of people around the world. Funny thing is that I was stopped by my own fear and that I actually let it stop me.

Anyway. My dad and I used to play in the basement when I grew up. He on the guitar and me on bass. We played his favorite music which was Country and western. It was a great start and I enjoyed it a lot. Later on I began playing with the guitar and this is now my main instrument. This means that I’ve been playing some sort of instrument for over 28 years.

In the late 80s and early 90s I began writing my own stuff, nothing of which I remember now 🙂 Writing lyrics hasn’t been easy for me. I do get these bursts of inspiration where I can write 5-10 lyrics in just as many days.

A friend and me started a band in 1991 we called The Act and we recorded a 5-song demo in 1992 in Trondheim. That was a great experience. I recorded my very first song with me on vocals. A song dedicated to my father, whom I had a strained relationship to at the moment. I was 19 🙂

In 2001 I recorded 2 more songs in a friends studio in Oslo. Had help from my previous band mate with the lyrics and I am very pleased with the results.

A few years later, in 2004, I recorded another 2 songs. Totally different in style and texture, but still poppy with an element of rock in there. Producer was the same guy as the 2001 session.

Through this weird history of activity/inactivity I’ve always had this grand dream of becoming a world touring musician and this 2-year plan is a great beginning.
