Getting over my stage fright

I’ve never really been sure of myself and hence developed stage fright at an early age. What this means for me is that I haven’t really tried to do much of myself for many, many years. I feel ashamed and stressed, since I feel that time is running out. How does one get over stage fright?

To be honest, I don’t know. I think I know, but I haven’t tested it out in any way. What I think will work is to do what Nike has said for many years “Just do it!”. Do it on a small scale to begin with, then up the ante step by step until you’re comfortable doing what you’re doing whenever you feel like doing it. This relates to anything and everything in life, not just standing on a stage in front of 10s or 100s or even 1000s of people.

It’s a huge step for someone who hasn’t stuck his neck out in any situation over a long period of time tho ūüôā But I’m still going to play at Madison Square Garden.
